Original Story:
The Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Dodgers” brings two of Los Angeles’ most recognizable sports names together in one colorway. Inspired by the city’s baseball team, the upcoming release covers Kobe Bryant’s signature sneaker in Dodger blue while adding several details pulled directly from the diamond.
Blue stretches across most of the upper, joined by a snakeskin-style texture along the support panels and eyestays. Red baseball stitching wraps the heel, giving the design its clearest Dodgers connection without overloading the shoe with team branding.
White appears on the Kobe sheath logo at the tongue and along the border of the grey Swoosh. The lighter accents break up the blue base and keep the overall look close to the Dodgers’ familiar uniform colors.
Earlier samples were pictured with Kobe photo insoles, but official images reveal a more straightforward retail setup. Instead of the portrait graphic, the finished pair features a white sheath logo printed inside the shoe.
