The Air Jordan 9 "Powder Blue" holds a significant place in sneaker history, being one of the four original colorways. The motive behind the creation of the shoe, was an ode to Michael Jordan's college basketball team, the North Carolina Tarheels. In it’s latest 2024 iteration, this iconic classic stays true to the original, featuring an all-white upper with geometrical perforations across the medials, black mesh tongues, and striking "Powder Blue" accents on the tongues and midsoles (Thus, the name). This release is anticipated to closely resemble the 1994 version, showcasing a clean retro aesthetic with a white leather upper, contrasted by black details on the tongue and heel. Notably, the new release will omit the #23 numerical branding on the heels.
